A new market has em, popped up at 17-19 Bartholomew Street, Newbury, RH17 5LY. I will be there every Saturday with new and exciting pieces of hand-felt art made from alpaca wool.

If the items on display do not catch your fancy (perhaps because you’re more interested in a model of your own pet), then you can commission a piece, to be collected at the market on the next Saturday.

I have made this Badger family out of alpaca wool, part of my new collection of British wildlife collectables.

This dog is called Nana and was created for Jean, a lady from Singapore, from photos that she emailed to me. She thought it was lovely!

Brinde commissioned me to create a hand-felt art form of her cat Ulu. The result is shown below (including close ups). Brinde has seen it, and describes it as “unbelievably beautiful”.

Here are some of Carol Hansen’s creations, which include a highland cow! These were presented at the Defence Academy Christmas Bazaar.

Here is a photo of Toby, the cavalier spaniel, and his owner receiving a sculpture of a cavalier created by Carol Hansen.  Toby seems to like his new friend!  Carol Hansen makes sculptures and pictures of pets on commission, please allow three weeks for completion.

Carol Hansen will be exhibiting at the Malt Shovel pub, Upper Lambourn, Berkshire from 2:30-7:30pm on Monday, 16th December.

Carol Hansen will be exhibiting her latest arts and crafts creations between 2-5pm on Saturday, 7th December at East Garston Village Hall.
